Perserverance Pays off!

hummmmm... An oxymoron???

Well anyway... I love that I get smiles in return for what I love to do. Love of what I do paying my bills is also a plus. Have been painting murals and decorating a nursing/rehab facility close to home for about two years and have started on a second facility in Arlington an hour away, painting murals in a dining area of a nursing/rehab facility secure unit. The enclosed residents sit and watch me paint and say the sweetest things but thier smiles are worth more than gold. Am painting a lovely garden scene to allow viewers to escape to a beautifullly tranquil, even if still serene confined world of thier own. One day this week I enjoyed one of the greatest compliments of all when an employees actually and deliberately came to the room to sit and eat her lunch when she could have gone anywhere else in the building away from the formerly dismal dreer area.
